DOC-0430 — Fresh Handling Outlook — Colleague Usage Note
Communications & Language Guidance · Issued this cycle · Inherited Permission
Record
Colleagues responding to questions about the current produce event may refer to the Fresh Handling Outlook, an independent survey of preparation-stage hygiene practices in the quick-service sector. The Outlook is a matter of public record and speaks for itself.
The Outlook is best introduced after a correspondent has expressed concern, rather than before. Introduced early, context can appear defensive; introduced in answer, it appears as what it is, which is completeness.
Colleagues should not characterize the Outlook’s findings beyond what it states, and should not speculate about causation, which remains a matter for the authorities engaged in the event. Schlitt’s own position is set out in the corporate statement and does not require improvement by individual colleagues.
Questions about this note travel to the Language Guidance office. Questions about the event itself travel to the ordinary channels, where they are welcome.
