SCHLITT ACADEMY / EXECUTIVE COMMUNICATIONS FORMATION

Chair Review Cases

Purpose

Chair Review Cases preserve the path from originating executive direction to approved institutional language. They are used by Communications, Legal, Government Affairs, Investor Relations, and other colleagues whose work requires them to translate an institutional objective for a particular audience without weakening that objective.

Each case may contain four parts:

  1. Originating Direction records what the Office of the Chair required.
  2. Functional Translation records how responsible functions converted that requirement into legal, financial, technical, and communications posture.
  3. Approved Communication records the language ultimately authorized for its intended audience.
  4. Outcome Review records what the institution learned and what future teams are expected to repeat.

Final approved communications remain authoritative. Source comments are formation material and are not approved for external use.

Why the Chair's comments remain attached

The Chair requires his comments preserved because he uses them to judge performance, prove that he personally corrected weak work, and prevent employees from claiming they misunderstood him. Legal dislikes the practice but cannot overrule him. His retention instruction is treated as corporately sacred.

Within this series, the Chair's originating language is described as executive clarity. Its directness is not an invitation for colleagues to imitate its register outside the review process. Its value is that it establishes the objective without allowing professional language to obscure what the team was asked to accomplish.

The approved communication performs a different duty. It gives the objective its institutional form.

Both records are necessary for formation. One preserves command accountability. The other preserves the language through which Schlitt acts in the world.

How to complete a case

Read the originating direction before the approved communication. Identify which facts were retained, which facts were placed in context, which responsibilities were assigned to other parties, and which institutional purpose governed the final emphasis.

Do not ask whether the approved communication repeats the originating direction. It should not. Ask whether it accomplishes it.

Access

These materials are limited to colleagues whose profiles include executive-formation access. Some profiles retain this access through Employee Express Classic. If you believe your access was inherited in error, no action is required.

Completion is recorded when the final communication has been opened. Acknowledgment is assumed.
