Take the point-by-point rebuttal and kill it.

We are not getting into a fucking debate with people who arrived after the work was finished. The moment Schlitt answers them allegation by allegation, we teach the reader that the critics stand on the same institutional level we do. They do not.

Ask where they were.

Where were they when Section Three was water? Where were their letters, their sampling teams, their lawyers, and their concern for the children then? Nobody gave a shit about that coastline until Schlitt made it valuable enough to criticize.

Keep the line that the shoreline was not controversial when it was drowning people. No anger around it. Anger makes it sound defensive. State it like weather.

The complexity section is right. Do not say complexity prevents an answer. Say complexity is the answer. Every additional source makes single-source attribution less responsible, and nobody can accuse us of avoiding research while Schlitt is paying for more of it.

The comparison must remain water versus Schlitt. Do not let the reader invent some imaginary third option where somebody else builds a cleaner Platform, houses the residents somewhere better, and pays for all of it. Nobody did. The real alternative was nothing, and nothing is the competitor we beat every time.

This is excellent work. It does not deny the defect, defend the chemistry, or ask for sympathy. It makes scrutiny itself look morally late.

Publish it before the next survey release.

The people attacking this institution had decades to help those children. We were the ones who showed up. Do not ever let them reverse that order.
